Community!

When I first began working in ServiceNow in 2012, one of the things that drew me to the platform was the Community forums.  There were (and still are!) an amazing resource. Like all things the community has evolved over the years, and it really took off for me when I found the Slack workspace. 

SNDevs has been one of the best resources I've found. It's a workspace run by the community, with almost seven thousand ServiceNow developers, admins, recruiters, users and any other title you could think of all in one place. It's an incredibly active workspace.  Both the community and SNDevs provide a space where you can find answers to your questions, ask for help with troubleshooting scripts, finding answers to requirements your clients may have come up with, or talk through the difficulties we all face.  SNDevs, though, provides a real time community that’s expanded beyond just the difficulties we face in our day to day work.  With SNDevs you can also join the book club, talk about your favorite recipes, or join in the chaos that is #random.  Without a doubt it's the hopping place in the ServiceNow space.

Additionally, there is a private channel just for women. It's a place for some real-time conversation about the difficulties we face while building a career in a male-dominated field, and as women in daily life. f you'd like to join the #womennow channel, just join the slack (if you haven't already), and DM @paige or @MGOPW .

We will request your LinkedIn profile for verification. This is meant to be a private channel where any woman can have open discourse about what is going on in our personal and professional lives, so membership will be limited to women. We reserve the right to remove you from the channel should your behavior prove toxic or detrimental in any way. Once you are verified, we will be happy to invite you to the channel. If you are uncomfortable providing a means of verification for any reason, just let one of us know and we can discuss further.
