Elevating women and minorities through eliminating career barriers

Speaker: Sharon Barnes

For years I have been overworked and under-challenged by non-technical jobs like running a life insurance agency. Encouraged by a friend about how great they found ServiceNow to be, I started learning using the freely available training. In less than a year I landed my first job building custom applications. In just a few more months I was crafting end-to-end integrations between SN and external systems. Now I am helping my company design a ServiceNow internship program for minorities so others can have that same opportunity.

Author’s Note: This is such an important topic. It’s literally the reason this blog exists. If you only have time for one session, please take the time to watch this one. This is shining a spotlight on such an important issue that must be addressed and the way that Sharon shared her story, advocated for change and showed how she and NuAxis are working towards it is just phenomenal. Thank you so much, Sharon!
